Pop-Up Stopper is installed. Now how do I block pop-ups?

Pop-Up Stopper Basic has a few toolbar buttons that allow you to easily configure most of the settings.

The image above shows the Toolbar with both Pop-Up Control and Sound ON

Enable standard or aggressive pop-up control
Pop-Up Stopper Basic allows Internet Explorer users to enable standard or aggressive mode by clicking on the Options button and selecting the Pop-Up Control Tab.  You may allow a new window by holding down CTRL or Shift when clicking a new link.  When not using aggressive mode, Pop-Up Stopper Basic will allow most new links in email and Web pages to be launched without interruption.

Play a sound when a pop-up window is prevented
You may select a sound to play when a pop-up window is prevented. The program comes with a few fun sounds. The user may select any sound of their choice by directing the sound file selection to the Windows Media folder, or elsewhere, and choosing a new sound. If a sound notifies you that a pop-up window has been blocked, and you wish to view the window, simply hold the CTRL or SHIFT key and refresh your browser, or click the link again.

Flash pop-up control button in toolbar when a pop-up window is prevented
The toolbar icon will flash briefly to alert the user that a pop-up window has been prevented. If a flashing icon notifies you that a pop-up window has been blocked, and you wish to view the window, simply hold the CTRL or SHIFT key and refresh your browser, or click the link again.

Allow pop-ups from a domain or Web site
Some Web sites use pop-up windows that you will want to see. You can simply click the Allow button to allow pop-ups from sites where you do want to view the pop-ups. You can delete sites from this list in Preferences.

Links in my email no longer open when I click on them. What can I do?
Pop-Up Stopper Basic is designed to control more than one instance of a browser window, in order to stop multiple forced exit windows, and other unwanted pop-ups. However, it has 2 control settings, and an allowed pop list so you can allow sites with pop-ups you do wish to see. To visit new links, or follow a link in your email program, if they are accidentally blocked, simply hold SHIFT or CTRL when following a new link.

I get an error when I try to use Windows Explorer file manager. Pop-Up Stopper Basic seems to close those windows as well!

Pop-Up Stopper Basic isn't working for me, and I am using Internet Explorer.
Please try Repairing Internet Explorer from the Add/Remove Programs menu in Control Panel. Some programs change browser settings needed in order for Pop-Up Stopper Basic to function correctly. To repair Internet Explorer, go to Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs and select Internet Explorer. Select Add/Remove and then choose Repair. You may be asked to reboot. This should solve most pop-up control issues.

Pop-Up Stopper Basic works great but I get Runtime Errors every time it blocks a pop-up. How can I solve this?
Please make sure you have your browser settings set to not display an error about every script error. Please go to Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, in Internet Explorer. Please clear the box marked 'Display a notification about every script error' under Advanced Internet Options. Also, make sure 'Disable Script Debugging' is checked. If this does not work, please let us know.
